The table below will help you choose the appropriate scene mode:
Scene mode Description
[ ] Sport Select this mode when you want to capture fast-moving subjects.
[ ] Portrait
Select this mode when you want to capture an image that makes the person
stand out against a defocused (blurred) background.
[ ] Night Portrait
Select this mode when you want to capture people with an evening or night
scene background.
[ ] Night Select this mode when you want to capture dark scenes such as night views.
[ ] Candlelight
Select this mode when you want to capture images of candlelit scene, without
spoiling the atmosphere.
[ ] Fireworks
Select this mode when you want to capture fireworks clearly with optimal exposure.
The shutter speed becomes slower, so using a tripod is recommended.
[ ] Landscape Select this mode when you want to capture landscape images with bright color.
[ ] Natural Green
Select this when you want to capture the green scenery background such as
forest.
[ ] Sunrise
Select this mode when you want to capture images of a scene at sunrise. This
mode helps keep the deep hues in the scene.
[ ] Sunset
Select this mode when you want to capture images of a scene at sunset. This
mode helps keep the deep hues in the scene.
[TEXT] Text
Select this mode when you want to capture an image that contains black
and white subjects like printed documents.
[ ] Black & White Select this mode when you want to capture a black & white image.
[ ] Sepia Select this mode when you want to capture a sepia image.
[ ] Splash Water Select this mode when you want to capture images of splashing water.
[ ] Flowing Water
Select this mode when you want to capture the soft flowing water. Shutter speed
is automatically slowed down while maintaining proper exposure, which produces
an image with the water blurred into smooth flowing lines along with a sharply
focused background.
[ ] Pets
Select this mode when you want to capture your pets. Shoot from the eye level
of your pets.
